Enjoy an extraordinary dinner at TAPKOP
TAPKOP restaurant is located next to your villa.
A private restaurant located across the wooden deck.
Enjoy a peaceful meal with your guests without worrying about your surroundings.
Like the villa, the small private restaurant overlooks the grassland from the window and serves special dinners made with Hokkaido’s seasonal ingredients.
The chef personally visits the ingredients and purchases them from the producers.
We use carefully selected ingredients such as fresh seafood just landed from nearby fishing grounds such as Kushiro and Betsukai, sika deer that eat fresh grass and have high-quality meat, and vegetables grown in Hokkaido.
Enjoy elaborate modern Chinese creations made using the best materials sourced mainly from Hokkaido.
Introducing the works that decorate the TAPKOP restaurant.
“Hanashika Izayoi and Hana”
An Ezo deer antler with a skull attached to it received from a hunter in eastern Hokkaido, with dried flowers also known as “eternal flowers.”
It seems to represent the rebirth of a new life.
Lampshade Ryuhyo Glass Museum
Lampshades for lighting in a restaurant.
Minerals are used to create the color of glass, but this one is handmade with a mixture of Yunohana from Kawayu Onsen, which is near TAPKOP. The ingredients contained in Yunohana resemble tortoiseshell candy or amber, and the color is reminiscent of Atosanupuri, the active volcano that is the source of Kawayu Onsen. The glass products made by Ryuhyo Glass Museum are made from glass raw materials made from recycled waste fluorescent lamps.
TAC Yamagami Woodworking
The wooden furniture is made by Yamagami Mokko, a long-established wood processing manufacturer located in Tsubetsu, a town next to Teshikaga where TAPKOP is located.
For the restaurant, we chose chairs called TAC from Yamagami Mokko’s in-house brand “ISU-WORKS.”
The ergonomic design means that when you sit against the backrest, the curved surface of the wooden board is just right, allowing you to feel the pressure in the “Tanda” area around your belly button.
TAC chairs have a wide seat and are comfortable. No matter who sits on it, it will fit comfortably.
“Trees are breathing”
The wood used is oak from Hokkaido, and is painted to express a matte texture that takes advantage of the wood grain.
The table was custom-made and had a hearth attached to it.
The handiwork that creates beautiful and sturdy furniture is filled with the experience and wisdom gained through many years of delivering products to the world as a wood processing manufacturer.
